Dr. J. S. Pruthi Award is conferred to recognize honour and encourage a Scientist / Technologist, who made significant contribution to the development of Fruit and Vegetable Preservation industry in India. This award for year 2019 was conferred to upon Dr. Pradyuman Kumar Professor Food Engineering and Technology for his contribution in development of Fruit and vegetable Preservation by Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), CSIR-CFTRI campus, Mysuru – 570 020 on 26 February 2021 in the Award Ceremony held at Mysore (Karnataka). The award is given by Dr. Sridevi A Singh Director CFTRI Mysore and Prof. G.H. Kumar, Vice-chancellor University of Mysore, Mysore.
On this occasion Dr. Pradyuman Kumar has delivered a talk on “Processing of agricultural produce to food powder and functional foods” on 26 February 2021.
