Prof Harish Kumar Sharma,Dean(R&C),HOD, Deptt. of Food Engineering and Technology, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur, Punjab was among seven scientists honored with ‘Vigyan Ratan Samman’ by state minister for science and technology Abdul Mannan at a function organized at Sir CV Raman auditorium in Lucknow on Nov 29th 2011. The award includes Rs 50,000, a memento and a certificate of appreciation. The award has been instituted by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of U.P. to recognize and honor the scientists born in Uttar Pradesh.
