Three day FDP on Universal Human Value:

The Universal Human Value (UHV) Cell of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, SLIET is conducting a 3-day face-to-face faculty development program (FDP) on “Universal Human Values”. The program is scheduled to take place from August 1 to August 3, 2023. The inauguration of program was held on August 01, 2023 with the esteemed presence of Dr. Mani Kant Paswan, Director SLIET, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

The Faculty Development Program (FDP) is being led by a team of Resource Persons namely Sh. Ajay Kumar Pal, Dr. Priya Darshni and Ms. Banisha Prinja, who are from of National Coordination Committee for Induction Program (NCC-IP), AICTE. The FDP has been organised by Prof. Kamlesh Kumari, Coordinator of UHV Cell SLIET along with Dr. Tajinder Singh, Co-coordinator of UHV Cell SLIET.

In addition to equipping faculty members to teach UHV-I (part of 3 weeks Mandatory SIP) & UHV-II (3-credit compulsory course as per Model Curriculum of AICTE); this FDP has a significant objective. It aims to foster a conducive environment for Holistic, Values based Education (HVBE) within institutions. This supportive atmosphere will play a vital role in preparing the next generation of capable and responsible students and citizens.

Over 50 participants from SLIET and neighbouring institutes are actively taking part in this program. Notably, AICTE will provide certification to those participants who successfully meet the requirements of the FDP.
